Surah Qaaf (50/114)

سُورَةُ قٓ

सूरह Qaaf

1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قٓ ۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ

Translations

क़ाफ़ क़ुरान मजीद की क़सम (मोहम्मद पैग़म्बर हैं)

Qaaaf; wal Qur aanil Majeed

Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...

2بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ

Translations

लेकिन इन (काफिरों) को ताज्जुब है कि उन ही में एक (अज़ाब से) डराने वाला (पैग़म्बर) उनके पास आ गया तो कुफ्फ़ार कहने लगे ये तो एक अजीब बात है

Bal 'ajibooo an jaa'ahum munzirum minhum faqaalal kaafiroona haazaa shai'un 'ajeeb

But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.

3أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا ۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌۭ

Translations

भला जब हम मर जाएँगे और (सड़ गल कर) मिटटी हो जाएँगे तो फिर ये दोबार ज़िन्दा होना (अक्ल से) बईद (बात है)

'A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaaban zaalika raj'um ba'eed

When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."

4قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ

Translations

उनके जिस्मों से ज़मीन जिस चीज़ को (खा खा कर) कम करती है वह हमको मालूम है और हमारे पास तो तहरीरी याददाश्त किताब लौहे महफूज़ मौजूद है

Qad 'alimnaa maa tanqu-sul-ardu minhum wa 'indanaa Kitaabun Hafeez

We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.

5بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍۢ مَّرِيجٍ

Translations

मगर जब उनके पास दीन (हक़) आ पहुँचा तो उन्होने उसे झुठलाया तो वह लोग एक ऐसी बात में उलझे हुए हैं जिसे क़रार नहीं

Bal kazzaboo bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ahum fahum feee amrim mareej

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.

6أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍۢ

Translations

तो क्या इन लोगों ने अपने ऊपर आसमान की नज़र नहीं की कि हमने उसको क्यों कर बनाया और उसको कैसी ज़ीनत दी और उनसे कहीं शिगाफ्त तक नहीं

Afalam yanzurooo ilas samaaa'i fawqahum kaifa banainaahaa wa zaiyannaahaa wa maa lahaa min furooj

Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?

7وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍۢ

Translations

और ज़मीन को हमने फैलाया और उस पर बोझल पहाड़ रख दिये और इसमें हर तरह की ख़ुशनुमा चीज़ें उगाई ताकि तमाम रूजू लाने वाले

Wal arda madadnaahaa wa alqainaa feehaa rawaasiya wa ambatnaa feehaa min kulli zawjim baheej

And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,

8تَبْصِرَةًۭ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍۢ مُّنِيبٍۢ

Translations

(बन्दे) हिदायत और इबरत हासिल करें

Tabsiratanw wa zikraa likulli 'abdim muneeb

Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].

9وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ مُّبَٰرَكًۭا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ

Translations

और हमने आसमान से बरकत वाला पानी बरसाया तो उससे बाग़ (के दरख्त) उगाए और खेती का अनाज और लम्बी लम्बी खजूरें

Wa nazzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'am mubaarakan fa ambatnaa bihee jannaatinw wa habbal haseed

And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest

10وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٍۢ لَّهَا طَلْعٌۭ نَّضِيدٌۭ

Translations

जिसका बौर बाहम गुथा हुआ है

Wannakhla baasiqaatil laha tal'un nadeed

And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -

11رِّزْقًۭا لِّلْعِبَادِ ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ

Translations

(ये सब कुछ) बन्दों की रोज़ी देने के लिए (पैदा किया) और पानी ही से हमने मुर्दा शहर (उफ़तादा ज़मीन) को ज़िन्दा किया

Rizqal lil'ibaad, wa ahyainaa bihee baldatam maitaa; kazaalikal khurooj

As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection.

12كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ

Translations

इसी तरह (क़यामत में मुर्दों को) निकलना होगा उनसे पहले नूह की क़ौम और ख़न्दक़ वालों और (क़ौम) समूद ने अपने अपने पैग़म्बरों को झुठलाया

Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Noohinw wa Ashaabur Rassi wa Samood

The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud

13وَعَادٌۭ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍۢ

Translations

और (क़ौम) आद और फिरऔन और लूत की क़ौम

Wa 'Aadunw wa Fir'awnu wikhwaanu loot

And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot

14وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍۢ ۚ كُلٌّۭ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ

Translations

और बन के रहने वालों (क़ौम शुऐब) और तुब्बा की क़ौम और (उन) सबने अपने (अपने) पैग़म्बरों को झुठलाया तो हमारा (अज़ाब का) वायदा पूरा हो कर रहा

Wa Ashaabul Aykati wa qawmu Tubba'; kullun kazzabar Rusula fahaqqa wa'eed

And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.

15أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍۢ مِّنْ خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۢ

Translations

तो क्या हम पहली बार पैदा करके थक गये हैं (हरगिज़ नहीं) मगर ये लोग अज़ सरे नौ (दोबारा) पैदा करने की निस्बत शक़ में पड़े हैं

Afa'a yeenaa bilkhalqil awwal; bal hum fee labsim min khalqin jadeed

Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.

16وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ

Translations

और बेशक हम ही ने इन्सान को पैदा किया और जो ख्यालात उसके दिल में गुज़रते हैं हम उनको जानते हैं और हम तो उसकी शहरग से भी ज्यादा क़रीब हैं

Wa laqad khalaqnal insaana wa na'lamu maa tuwaswisu bihee nafsuhoo wa Nahnu aqrabu ilaihi min hablil wareed

And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein

17إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌۭ

Translations

जब (वह कोई काम करता हैं तो) दो लिखने वाले (केरामन क़ातेबीन) जो उसके दाहिने बाएं बैठे हैं लिख लेते हैं

'Iz yatalaqqal mutalaqqi yaani 'anil yameeni wa 'anish shimaali qa'eed

When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.

18مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌۭ

Translations

कोई बात उसकी ज़बान पर नहीं आती मगर एक निगेहबान उसके पास तैयार रहता है

Maa yalfizu min qawlin illaa ladaihi raqeebun 'ateed

Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].

19وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ

Translations

मौत की बेहोशी यक़ीनन तारी होगी (जो हम बता देंगे कि) यही तो वह (हालात है) जिससे तू भागा करता था

Wa jaaa'at kullu nafsim ma'ahaa saaa'iqunw wa shaheed

And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.

20وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ

Translations

और सूर फूँका जाएगा यही (अज़ाब) के वायदे का दिन है और हर शख़्श (हमारे सामने) (इस तरह) हाज़िर होगा

Wa nufikha fis Soor; zaalika yawmul wa'eed

And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.

21وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌۭ وَشَهِيدٌۭ

Translations

कि उसके साथ एक (फरिश्ता) हॅका लाने वाला होगा

Wa jaaa'at kullu nafsim ma'ahaa saaa'iqunw wa shaheed

And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.

22لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌۭ

Translations

और एक (आमाल का) गवाह उससे कहा जाएगा कि उस (दिन) से तू ग़फ़लत में पड़ा था तो अब हमने तेरे सामने से पर्दे को हटा दिया तो आज तेरी निगाह बड़ी तेज़ है

Laqad kunta fee ghaf latim min haazaa fakashafnaa 'anka ghitaaa'aka fabasarukal yawma hadeed

[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."

23وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ

Translations

और उसका साथी (फ़रिश्ता) कहेगा ये (उसका अमल) जो मेरे पास है

Wa qaala qareenuhoo haazaa maa ladaiya 'ateed

And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."

24أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ

Translations

(तब हुक्म होगा कि) तुम दोनों हर सरकश नाशुक्रे को दोज़ख़ में डाल दो

Alqiyaa fee Jahannama kulla kaffaarin 'aneed

[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,

25مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍۢ مُّرِيبٍ

Translations

जो (वाजिब हुकूक से) माल में बुख्ल करने वाला हद से बढ़ने वाला (दीन में) शक़ करने वाला था

Mannaa'il lilkhayri mu'tadim mureeb

Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,

26ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ

Translations

जिसने ख़ुदा के साथ दूसरे माबूद बना रखे थे तो अब तुम दोनों इसको सख्त अज़ाब में डाल ही दो

Allazee ja'ala ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara fa alqiyaahu fil'azaabish shadeed

Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."

27۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ

Translations

(उस वक्त) उसका साथी (शैतान) कहेगा परवरदिगार हमने इसको गुमराह नहीं किया था बल्कि ये तो ख़ुद सख्त गुमराही में मुब्तिला था

Qaala qareenuhoo Rabbanaa maaa atghaituhoo wa laakin kaana fee dalaahim ba'eed

His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."

28قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ

Translations

इस पर ख़ुदा फ़रमाएगा हमारे सामने झगड़े न करो मैं तो तुम लोगों को पहले ही (अज़ाब से) डरा चुका था

Qaala laa takhtasimoo ladaayya wa qad qaddamtu ilaikum bilwa'eed

[Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.

29مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍۢ لِّلْعَبِيدِ

Translations

मेरे यहाँ बात बदला नहीं करती और न मैं बन्दों पर (ज़र्रा बराबर) ज़ुल्म करने वाला हूँ

Maa yubaddalul qawlu ladaiya wa maaa ana bizal laamil lil'abeed

The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."

30يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍۢ

Translations

उस दिन हम दोज़ख़ से पूछेंगे कि तू भर चुकी और वह कहेगी क्या कुछ और भी हैं

Yawma naqoolu li'jahannama halim talaati wa taqoolu hal mim mazeed

On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"

31وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ

Translations

और बेहिश्त परहेज़गारों के बिलकुल करीब कर दी जाएगी

Wa uzlifatil jannatu lil muttaqeena ghaira ba'eed

And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,

32هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍۢ

Translations

यही तो वह बेहिश्त है जिसका तुममें से हर एक (ख़ुदा की तरफ़) रूजू करने वाले (हुदूद की) हिफाज़त करने वाले से वायदा किया जाता है

Haaza maa too'adoona likulli awwaabin hafeez

[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]

33مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍۢ مُّنِيبٍ

Translations

तो जो शख़्श ख़ुदा से बे देखे डरता रहा और ख़ुदा की तरफ़ रूजू करने वाला दिल लेकर आया

Man khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaibi wa jaaa'a biqalbim muneeb

Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].

34ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍۢ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ

Translations

(उसको हुक्म होगा कि) इसमें सही सलामत दाख़िल हो जाओ यहीं तो हमेशा रहने का दिन है

Udkhuloohaa bisalaamin zaalika yawmul khulood

Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."

35لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌۭ

Translations

इसमें ये लोग जो चाहेंगे उनके लिए हाज़िर है और हमारे यहॉ तो इससे भी ज्यादा है

Lahum maa yashaaa'oona feehaa wa ladainaa mazeed

They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.

36وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ

Translations

और हमने तो इनसे पहले कितनी उम्मतें हलाक कर डाली जो इनसे क़ूवत में कहीं बढ़ कर थीं तो उन लोगों ने (मौत के ख़ौफ से) तमाम शहरों को छान मारा कि भला कहीं भी भागने का ठिकाना है

Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fil bilaad, hal mim mahees

And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?

37إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌۭ

Translations

इसमें शक़ नहीं कि जो शख़्श (आगाह) दिल रखता है या कान लगाकर हुज़ूरे क़ल्ब से सुनता है उसके लिए इसमें (काफ़ी) नसीहत है

Inna fee zaalika lazikraa liman kaana lahoo qalbun aw alqas sam'a wa huwa shaheed

Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].

38وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍۢ

Translations

और हमने ही यक़ीनन सारे आसमान और ज़मीन और जो कुछ उन दोनों के बीच में है छह: दिन में पैदा किए और थकान तो हमको छुकर भी नहीं गयी

Wa laqad khalaqnas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati ayyaamin wa maa massanaa mil lughoob

And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.

39فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ

Translations

तो (ऐ रसूल) जो कुछ ये (काफ़िर) लोग किया करते हैं उस पर तुम सब्र करो और आफ़ताब के निकलने से पहले अपने परवरदिगार के हम्द की तस्बीह किया करो

Fasbir 'alaa maa yaqooloona wa sabbih bihamdi Rabbika qabla tuloo'ish shamsi wa qablal ghuroob

So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,

40وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ

Translations

और थोड़ी देर रात को भी और नमाज़ के बाद भी उसकी तस्बीह करो

Wa minal laili fasabbih hu wa adbaaras sujood

And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration.

41وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍۢ قَرِيبٍۢ

Translations

और कान लगा कर सुन रखो कि जिस दिन पुकारने वाला (इसराफ़ील) नज़दीक ही जगह से आवाज़ देगा

Wastami' yawma yunaa dil munaadi mim makaanin qareeb

And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -

42يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ

Translations

(कि उठो) जिस दिन लोग एक सख्त चीख़ को बाख़ूबी सुन लेगें वही दिन (लोगों) के कब्रों से निकलने का होगा

Yawma yasmaoonas sai hata bilhaqq zaalika yawmul khurooj

The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

43إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Translations

बेशक हम ही (लोगों को) ज़िन्दा करते हैं और हम ही मारते हैं

Innaa Nahnu nuhyee wa numeetu wa ilainal maseer

Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination

44يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌۭ

Translations

और हमारी ही तरफ फिर कर आना है जिस दिन ज़मीन (उनके ऊपर से) फट जाएगी और ये झट पट निकल खड़े होंगे ये उठाना और जमा करना

Yawma tashaqqaqul ardu 'anhum siraa'aa; zaalika hashrun 'alainaa yaseer

On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.

45نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍۢ ۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ

Translations

और हम पर बहुत आसान है (ऐ रसूल) ये लोग जो कुछ कहते हैं हम (उसे) ख़ूब जानते हैं और तुम उन पर जब्र तो देते नहीं हो तो जो हमारे (अज़ाब के) वायदे से डरे उसको तुम क़ुरान के ज़रिए नसीहत करते रहो

Nahnu a'lamu bimaa yaqooloona wa maaa anta 'alihim bijabbaarin fazakkir bil quraani many yakhaafu wa'eed

We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.
