1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا

Translations

सूरज की क़सम और उसकी रौशनी की

Wash shamsi wa duhaa haa

By the sun and its brightness

2وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا

Translations

और चाँद की जब उसके पीछे निकले

Wal qamari izaa talaa haa

And [by] the moon when it follows it

3وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا

Translations

और दिन की जब उसे चमका दे

Wannahaari izaa jallaa haa

And [by] the day when it displays it

4وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا

Translations

और रात की जब उसे ढाँक ले

Wallaili izaa yaghshaa haa

And [by] the night when it covers it

5وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا

Translations

और आसमान की और जिसने उसे बनाया

Wassamaaa'i wa maa banaahaa

And [by] the sky and He who constructed it

6وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا

Translations

और ज़मीन की जिसने उसे बिछाया

Wal ardi wa maa tahaahaa

And [by] the earth and He who spread it

7وَنَفْسٍۢ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا

Translations

और जान की और जिसने उसे दुरूस्त किया

Wa nafsinw wa maa sawwaahaa

And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it

8فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا

Translations

फिर उसकी बदकारी और परहेज़गारी को उसे समझा दिया

Fa-alhamahaa fujoorahaa wa taqwaahaa

And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,

9قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا

Translations

(क़सम है) जिसने उस (जान) को (गनाह से) पाक रखा वह तो कामयाब हुआ

Qad aflaha man zakkaahaa

He has succeeded who purifies it,

10وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا

Translations

और जिसने उसे (गुनाह करके) दबा दिया वह नामुराद रहा

Wa qad khaaba man dassaahaa

And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].

11كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ

Translations

क़ौम मसूद ने अपनी सरकशी से (सालेह पैग़म्बर को) झुठलाया,

Kazzabat Samoodu bi taghwaahaaa

Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,

12إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا

Translations

जब उनमें का एक बड़ा बदबख्त उठ खड़ा हुआ

Izim ba'asa ashqaahaa

When the most wretched of them was sent forth.

13فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَٰهَا

Translations

तो ख़ुदा के रसूल (सालेह) ने उनसे कहा कि ख़ुदा की ऊँटनी और उसके पानी पीने से तअर्रुज़ न करना

Faqaala lahum Rasoolul laahi naaqatal laahi wa suqiyaahaa

And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."

14فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا

Translations

मगर उन लोगों पैग़म्बर को झुठलाया और उसकी कूँचे काट डाली तो ख़ुदा ने उनके गुनाहों सबब से उन पर अज़ाब नाज़िल किया फिर (हलाक करके) बराबर कर दिया

Fakazzaboohu fa'aqaroohaa fadamdama 'alaihim Rabbuhum bizambihim fasaw waahaa

But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].

15وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَٰهَا

Translations

और उसको उनके बदले का कोई ख़ौफ तो है नहीं

Wa laa yakhaafu'uqbaahaa

And He does not fear the consequence thereof.
