1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ

Translations

जब आसमान फट जाएगा

Izas samaaa'un shaqqat

When the sky has split [open]

2وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ

Translations

और अपने परवरदिगार का हुक्म बजा लाएगा और उसे वाजिब भी यही है

Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

3وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ

Translations

और जब ज़मीन (बराबर करके) तान दी जाएगी

Wa izal ardu muddat

And when the earth has been extended

4وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ

Translations

और जो कुछ उसमें है उगल देगी और बिल्कुल ख़ाली हो जाएगी

Wa alqat maa feehaa wa takhallat

And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

5وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ

Translations

और अपने परवरदिगार का हुक्म बजा लाएगी

Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] -

6يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًۭا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ

Translations

और उस पर लाज़िम भी यही है (तो क़यामत आ जाएगी) ऐ इन्सान तू अपने परवरदिगार की हुज़ूरी की कोशिश करता है

Yaaa ayyuhal insaanu innaka kaadihun ilaa Rabbika kad han famulaaqeeh

O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.

7فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ

Translations

तो तू (एक न एक दिन) उसके सामने हाज़िर होगा फिर (उस दिन) जिसका नामाए आमाल उसके दाहिने हाथ में दिया जाएगा

Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenih

Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

8فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًۭا يَسِيرًۭا

Translations

उससे तो हिसाब आसान तरीके से लिया जाएगा

Fasawfa yuhaasabu hi saabai yaseeraa

He will be judged with an easy account

9وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًۭا

Translations

और (फिर) वह अपने (मोमिनीन के) क़बीले की तरफ ख़ुश ख़ुश पलटेगा

Wa yanqalibu ilaaa ahlihee masrooraa

And return to his people in happiness.

10وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ

Translations

लेकिन जिस शख़्श को उसका नामए आमल उसकी पीठ के पीछे से दिया जाएगा

Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo waraaa'a zahrih

But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

11فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًۭا

Translations

वह तो मौत की दुआ करेगा

Fasawfa yad'oo subooraa

He will cry out for destruction

12وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا

Translations

और जहन्नुम वासिल होगा

Wa yaslaa sa'eeraa

And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.

13إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا

Translations

ये शख़्श तो अपने लड़के बालों में मस्त रहता था

Innahoo kaana feee ahlihee masrooraa

Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

14إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ

Translations

और समझता था कि कभी (ख़ुदा की तरफ) फिर कर जाएगा ही नहीं

Innahoo zanna al lai yahoor

Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah].

15بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًۭا

Translations

हाँ उसका परवरदिगार यक़ीनी उसको देख भाल कर रहा है

Balaaa inna Rabbahoo kaana bihee baseeraa

But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.

16فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ

Translations

तो मुझे शाम की मुर्ख़ी की क़सम

Falaaa uqsimu bishshafaq

So I swear by the twilight glow

17وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ

Translations

और रात की और उन चीज़ों की जिन्हें ये ढाँक लेती है

Wallaili wa maa wasaq

And [by] the night and what it envelops

18وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ

Translations

और चाँद की जब पूरा हो जाए

Walqamari izat tasaq

And [by] the moon when it becomes full

19لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍۢ

Translations

कि तुम लोग ज़रूर एक सख्ती के बाद दूसरी सख्ती में फँसोगे

Latarkabunna tabaqan 'an tabaq

[That] you will surely experience state after state.

20فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Translations

तो उन लोगों को क्या हो गया है कि ईमान नहीं ईमान नहीं लाते

Famaa lahum laa yu'minoon

So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

21وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩

Translations

और जब उनके सामने क़ुरान पढ़ा जाता है तो (ख़ुदा का) सजदा नहीं करते (21) (सजदा)

Wa izaa quri'a 'alaihimul Quraanu laa yasjudoon

And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]?

22بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ

Translations

बल्कि काफ़िर लोग तो (और उसे) झुठलाते हैं

Balil lazeena kafaroo yukazziboon

But those who have disbelieved deny,

23وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ

Translations

और जो बातें ये लोग अपने दिलों में छिपाते हैं ख़ुदा उसे ख़ूब जानता है

Wallaahu a'lamu bimaa yoo'oon

And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.

24فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

Translations

तो (ऐ रसूल) उन्हें दर्दनाक अज़ाब की ख़ुशख़बरी दे दो

Fabashshirhum bi'azaabin aleem

So give them tidings of a painful punishment,

25إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ

Translations

मगर जो लोग ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छे अच्छे काम किए उनके लिए बेइन्तिहा अज्र (व सवाब है)

Illal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
