1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ

Translations

जिस वक्त आफ़ताब की चादर को लपेट लिया जाएगा

Izash shamsu kuwwirat

When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]

2وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त तारे गिर पडेग़ें

Wa izan nujoomun kadarat

And when the stars fall, dispersing,

3وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ

Translations

और जब पहाड़ चलाए जाएंगें

Wa izal jibaalu suyyirat

And when the mountains are removed

4وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ

Translations

और जब अनक़रीब जनने वाली ऊंटनियों बेकार कर दी जाएंगी

Wa izal 'ishaaru 'uttilat

And when full-term she-camels are neglected

5وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त वहशी जानवर इकट्ठा किये जायेंगे

Wa izal wuhooshu hushirat

And when the wild beasts are gathered

6وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त दरिया आग हो जायेंगे

Wa izal bihaaru sujjirat

And when the seas are filled with flame

7وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त रुहें हवियों से मिला दी जाएंगी

Wa izan nufoosu zuwwijat

And when the souls are paired

8وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त ज़िन्दा दर गोर लड़की से पूछा जाएगा

Wa izal maw'oodatu su'ilat

And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked

9بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ

Translations

कि वह किस गुनाह के बदले मारी गयी

Bi ayyi zambin qutilat

For what sin she was killed

10وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त (आमाल के) दफ्तर खोले जाएं

Wa izas suhufu nushirat

And when the pages are made public

11وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ

Translations

और जिस वक्त आसमान का छिलका उतारा जाएगा

Wa izas samaaa'u kushitat

And when the sky is stripped away

12وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ

Translations

और जब दोज़ख़ (की आग) भड़कायी जाएगी

Wa izal jaheemu su'-'irat

And when Hellfire is set ablaze

13وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ

Translations

और जब बेहिश्त क़रीब कर दी जाएगी

Wa izal jannatu uzlifat

And when Paradise is brought near,

14عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ

Translations

तब हर शख़्श मालूम करेगा कि वह क्या (आमाल) लेकर आया

'Alimat nafsum maaa ahdarat

A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].

15فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ

Translations

तो मुझे उन सितारों की क़सम जो चलते चलते पीछे हट जाते

Falaaa uqsimu bil khunnas

So I swear by the retreating stars -

16ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ

Translations

और ग़ायब होते हैं

Al jawaaril kunnas

Those that run [their courses] and disappear -

17وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ

Translations

और रात की क़सम जब ख़त्म होने को आए

Wallaili izaa 'as'as

And by the night as it closes in

18وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ

Translations

और सुबह की क़सम जब रौशन हो जाए

Wassubhi izaa tanaffas

And by the dawn when it breathes

19إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ

Translations

कि बेशक यें (क़ुरान) एक मुअज़िज़ फरिश्ता (जिबरील की ज़बान का पैग़ाम है

Innahoo laqawlu rasoolin kareem

[That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger

20ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ

Translations

जो बड़े क़वी अर्श के मालिक की बारगाह में बुलन्द रुतबा है

Zee quwwatin 'inda zil 'arshi makeen

[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],

21مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ

Translations

वहाँ (सब फरिश्तों का) सरदार अमानतदार है

Mutaa'in samma ameen

Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.

22وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ

Translations

और (मक्के वालों) तुम्हारे साथी मोहम्मद दीवाने नहीं हैं

Wa maa saahibukum bimajnoon

And your companion is not [at all] mad.

23وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ

Translations

और बेशक उन्होनें जिबरील को (आसमान के) खुले (शरक़ी) किनारे पर देखा है

Wa laqad ra aahu bilufuqil mubeen

And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.

24وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ

Translations

और वह ग़ैब की बातों के ज़ाहिर करने में बख़ील नहीं

Wa maa huwa 'alal ghaibi bidaneen

And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.

25وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ

Translations

और न यह मरदूद शैतान का क़ौल है

Wa maa huwa biqawli shaitaanir rajeem

And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].

26فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ

Translations

फिर तुम कहाँ जाते हो

Fa ayna tazhaboon

So where are you going?

27إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Translations

ये सारे जहॉन के लोगों के लिए बस नसीहत है

In huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

It is not except a reminder to the worlds

28لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ

Translations

(मगर) उसी के लिए जो तुममें सीधी राह चले

Liman shaaa'a minkum ai yastaqeem

For whoever wills among you to take a right course.

29وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Translations

और तुम तो सारे जहॉन के पालने वाले ख़ुदा के चाहे बग़ैर कुछ भी चाह नहीं सकते

Wa maa tashaaa'oona illaaa ai yashaaa 'al laahu Rabbul 'Aalameen

And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.
