1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْحَآقَّةُ

Translations

सच मुच होने वाली (क़यामत)

Al haaaqqah

The Inevitable Reality -

2مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ

Translations

और सच मुच होने वाली क्या चीज़ है

Mal haaaqqah

What is the Inevitable Reality?

3وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ

Translations

और तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि वह सच मुच होने वाली क्या है

Wa maaa adraaka mal haaaqqah

And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?

4كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ

Translations

(वही) खड़ खड़ाने वाली (जिस) को आद व समूद ने झुठलाया

Kazzabat samoodu wa 'Aadum bil qaari'ah

Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.

5فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ

Translations

ग़रज़ समूद तो चिंघाड़ से हलाक कर दिए गए

Fa-ammaa Samoodu fauhlikoo bittaaghiyah

So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].

6وَأَمَّا عَادٌۭ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍۢ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۢ

Translations

रहे आद तो वह बहुत शदीद तेज़ ऑंधी से हलाक कर दिए गए

Wa ammaa 'Aadun fa uhlikoo bireehin sarsarin 'aatiyah

And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind

7سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍۢ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۢ

Translations

ख़ुदा ने उसे सात रात और आठ दिन लगाकर उन पर चलाया तो लोगों को इस तरह ढहे (मुर्दे) पड़े देखता कि गोया वह खजूरों के खोखले तने हैं

Sakhkharahaa 'alaihim sab'a la yaalinw wa samaaniyata ayyaamin husooman fataral qawma feehaa sar'aa ka annahum a'jaazu nakhlin khaawiyah

Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

8فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍۢ

Translations

तू क्या इनमें से किसी को भी बचा खुचा देखता है

Fahal taraa lahum mim baaqiyah

Then do you see of them any remains?

9وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ

Translations

और फिरऔन और जो लोग उससे पहले थे और वह लोग (क़ौमे लूत) जो उलटी हुई बस्तियों के रहने वाले थे सब गुनाह के काम करते थे

Wa jaaa'a Firawnu wa man qablahoo wal mu'tafikaatu bilhaati'ah

And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.

10فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةًۭ رَّابِيَةً

Translations

तो उन लोगों ने अपने परवरदिगार के रसूल की नाफ़रमानी की तो ख़ुदा ने भी उनकी बड़ी सख्ती से ले दे कर डाली

Fa'ansaw Rasoola Rabbihim fa akhazahum akhzatar raabiyah

And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].

11إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ

Translations

जब पानी चढ़ने लगा तो हमने तुमको कशती पर सवार किया

Innaa lammaa taghal maaa'u hamalnaakum fil jaariyah

Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship

12لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌۭ وَٰعِيَةٌۭ

Translations

ताकि हम उसे तुम्हारे लिए यादगार बनाएं और उसे याद रखने वाले कान सुनकर याद रखें

Linaj'alahaa lakum tazki ratanw-wa ta'iyahaa unzununw waa'iyah

That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.

13فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ

Translations

फिर जब सूर में एक (बार) फूँक मार दी जाएगी

Fa izaa nufikha fis soori nafkhatunw waahidah

Then when the Horn is blown with one blast

14وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ

Translations

और ज़मीन और पहाड़ उठाकर एक बारगी (टकरा कर) रेज़ा रेज़ा कर दिए जाएँगे तो उस रोज़ क़यामत आ ही जाएगी

Wa humilatil ardu wal jibaalu fadukkataa dakkatanw waahidah

And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -

15فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

Translations

और आसमान फट जाएगा

Fa yawma'izinw waqa'atil waaqi'ah

Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,

16وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاهِيَةٌۭ

Translations

तो वह उस दिन बहुत फुस फुसा होगा और फ़रिश्ते उनके किनारे पर होंगे

Wanshaqqatis samaaa'u fahiya yawma 'izinw-waahiyah

And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.

17وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌۭ

Translations

और तुम्हारे परवरदिगार के अर्श को उस दिन आठ फ़रिश्ते अपने सरों पर उठाए होंगे

Wal malaku 'alaaa arjaaa'ihaa; wa yahmilu 'Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawma'izin samaaniyah

And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].

18يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌۭ

Translations

उस दिन तुम सब के सब (ख़ुदा के सामने) पेश किए जाओगे और तुम्हारी कोई पोशीदा बात छुपी न रहेगी

Yawma'izin tu'radoona laa takhfaa min kum khaafiyah

That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.

19فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ

Translations

तो जिसको (उसका नामए आमाल) दाहिने हाथ में दिया जाएगा तो वह (लोगो से) कहेगा लीजिए मेरा नामए आमाल पढ़िए

Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenihee fa yaqoolu haaa'umuq ra'oo kitaabiyah

So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!

20إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ

Translations

तो मैं तो जानता था कि मुझे मेरा हिसाब (किताब) ज़रूर मिलेगा

Innee zannantu annee mulaaqin hisaabiyah

Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."

21فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ

Translations

फिर वह दिल पसन्द ऐश में होगा

Fahuwa fee 'eeshatir raadiyah

So he will be in a pleasant life -

22فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ

Translations

बड़े आलीशान बाग़ में

Fee jannnatin 'aaliyah

In an elevated garden,

23قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌۭ

Translations

जिनके फल बहुत झुके हुए क़रीब होंगे

Qutoofuhaa daaniyah

Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.

24كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِ

Translations

जो कारगुज़ारियाँ तुम गुज़िशता अय्याम में करके आगे भेज चुके हो उसके सिले में मज़े से खाओ पियो

Kuloo washraboo haneee'am bimaaa aslaftum fil ayyaamil khaliyah

[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past."

25وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ

Translations

और जिसका नामए आमाल उनके बाएँ हाथ में दिया जाएगा तो वह कहेगा ऐ काश मुझे मेरा नामए अमल न दिया जाता

Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo bishimaalihee fa yaqoolu yaalaitanee lam oota kitaaabiyah

But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

26وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ

Translations

और मुझे न मालूल होता कि मेरा हिसाब क्या है

Wa lam adri maa hisaabiyah

And had not known what is my account.

27يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ

Translations

ऐ काश मौत ने (हमेशा के लिए मेरा) काम तमाम कर दिया होता

Yaa laitahaa kaanatil qaadiyah

I wish my death had been the decisive one.

28مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّى مَالِيَهْ ۜ

Translations

(अफ़सोस) मेरा माल मेरे कुछ भी काम न आया

Maaa aghnaa 'annee maaliyah

My wealth has not availed me.

29هَلَكَ عَنِّى سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ

Translations

(हाए) मेरी सल्तनत ख़ाक में मिल गयी (फिर हुक्म होगा)

Halaka 'annee sultaaniyah

Gone from me is my authority."

30خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ

Translations

इसे गिरफ्तार करके तौक़ पहना दो

Khuzoohu faghullooh

[Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him.

31ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ

Translations

फिर इसे जहन्नुम में झोंक दो,

Summal Jaheema sallooh

Then into Hellfire drive him.

32ثُمَّ فِى سِلْسِلَةٍۢ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًۭا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ

Translations

फिर एक ज़ंजीर में जिसकी नाप सत्तर गज़ की है उसे ख़ूब जकड़ दो

Summa fee silsilatin zar'uhaa sab'oona ziraa'an faslukooh

Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him."

33إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Translations

(क्यों कि) ये न तो बुज़ुर्ग ख़ुदा ही पर ईमान लाता था और न मोहताज के खिलाने पर आमादा (लोगों को) करता था

Innahoo kaana laa yu'minubillaahil 'Azeem

Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great,

34وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ

Translations

तो आज न उसका कोई ग़मख्वार है

wa laa yahuddu 'alaa ta'aamil miskeen

Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.

35فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌۭ

Translations

और न पीप के सिवा (उसके लिए) कुछ खाना है

Falaysa lahul yawma haahunaa hameem

So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend

36وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍۢ

Translations

जिसको गुनेहगारों के सिवा कोई नहीं खाएगा

Wa laa ta'aamun illaa min ghisleen

Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;

37لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ

Translations

तो मुझे उन चीज़ों की क़सम है

Laa yaakuluhooo illal khati'oon

None will eat it except the sinners.

38فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Translations

जो तुम्हें दिखाई देती हैं

Falaaa uqsimu bimaa tubsiroon

So I swear by what you see

39وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Translations

और जो तुम्हें नहीं सुझाई देती कि बेशक ये (क़ुरान)

Wa maa laa tubsiroon

And what you do not see

40إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ

Translations

एक मोअज़िज़ फरिश्ते का लाया हुआ पैग़ाम है

Innahoo laqawlu Rasoolin kareem

[That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger.

41وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ

Translations

और ये किसी शायर की तुक बन्दी नहीं तुम लोग तो बहुत कम ईमान लाते हो

Wa ma huwa biqawli shaa'ir; qaleelam maa tu'minoon

And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.

42وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Translations

और न किसी काहिन की (ख्याली) बात है तुम लोग तो बहुत कम ग़ौर करते हो

Wa laa biqawli kaahin; qaleelam maa tazakkaroon

Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.

43تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Translations

सारे जहाँन के परवरदिगार का नाज़िल किया हुआ (क़लाम) है

Tanzeelum mir rabbil 'aalameen

[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

44وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ

Translations

अगर रसूल हमारी निस्बत कोई झूठ बात बना लाते

Wa law taqawwala 'alainaa ba'dal aqaaweel

And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,

45لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ

Translations

तो हम उनका दाहिना हाथ पकड़ लेते

La-akhaznaa minhu bilyameen

We would have seized him by the right hand;

46ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ

Translations

फिर हम ज़रूर उनकी गर्दन उड़ा देते

Summa laqata'naa minhul wateen

Then We would have cut from him the aorta.

47فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ

Translations

तो तुममें से कोई उनसे (मुझे रोक न सकता)

Famaa minkum min ahadin'anhu haajizeen

And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.

48وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Translations

ये तो परहेज़गारों के लिए नसीहत है

Wa innahoo latazkiratul lilmuttaqeen

And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.

49وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ

Translations

और हम ख़ूब जानते हैं कि तुम में से कुछ लोग (इसके) झुठलाने वाले हैं

Wa inna lana'lamu anna minkum mukazzibeen

And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.

50وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Translations

और इसमें शक़ नहीं कि ये काफ़िरों की हसरत का बाएस है

Wa innahu lahasratun 'alal kaafireen

And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

51وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ

Translations

और इसमें शक़ नहीं कि ये यक़ीनन बरहक़ है

Wa innahoo lahaqqul yaqeen

And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.

52فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Translations

तो तुम अपने परवरदिगार की तसबीह करो

Fasbbih bismi Rabbikal 'Azeem

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

Surah Al-Haaqqa (69/114)
